It is officially the season of listening to Christmas music. You can listen through your TV, the radio, or you computer. But, what about listening to Christmas music using your phone? There are hundreds of music apps you can download on your phone, but there are only three that are worth your time.
Pandora:
Pandora is one of the oldest music apps you can download. This app is available on both Android phones and iPhones. It is also free to download and use, but the free version does include commercials. The free version will also only allow you a limited number skips. You do have the option of paying for a monthly subscription, Pandora Premium, that will get rid of all the commercials. The monthly subscription will also give you access to unlimited skips and replays of songs and higher quality audio. You can also download music for offline listening when you pay for the subscription. When you download Pandora, you will have the ability to customize the music channels that you listen to by searching genres, songs, or artists.
Spotify:
Spotify is the number one music app in the Apple App Store. This app is available on any mobile device or tablet. Like Pandora, there is a free version and premium version of Spotify. The free version allows you to search music through artists or albums, but there will be ads throughout. With the free version, you can also play any artist, album, or playlist on shuffle. The premium version offers you ad-free music, better audio quality, the ability to listen offline, and all of the same features as the free version.
YouTube Music:
YouTube Music may not be as popular as Pandora or Spotify, but it is still within the top five on the Apple App Store. Like the two apps listed above, you can search for music the exact same way on the YouTube Music app, but you get an added bonus of being able to search for songs using lyrics. When searching for music, you can find albums, singles, live performances, covers, and remixes of your favorite songs. YouTube Music will also recommend other music to you based on your tastes. This app also has a “Hotlist” where you can easily see what’s trending in the music world. Just like the other two, you also have the option to pay for YouTube Music Premium where you can enjoy ad-free music and the ability to download songs.
