About Us

Our Mission

Why Tech Ed 4 All? Why not? That’s my “go-to” answer when I’m asked why I started Tech Ed 4 All! Then I go into more detail of course! My own mother needed help with her devices, I saw that. I also saw how many other seniors were needing help when I was a Principal and we had seniors coming in to work with our students. They all had questions and there was no where to go for the answers! Families are busy and family members often don’t have the patience needed to teach because of their busy lives. We get it!  And often times, any help a senior could get wasn’t “teaching” them how to use their device, it was taking the device and fixing the problem and handing it back. So…as an educator, I created classes and curriculum and we TEACH seniors how to use their devices…we don’t just fix device problems, we empower our seniors to learn to fix them on their own. In fact, we also work with clients privately on just about anything technology related in their homes! Teaching as we work! There is a huge need for our services and we are here to fill that need and we love teaching! That’s why!!

CEO: Jennifer Dancu, Knoxville, TN

Jennifer Dancu

My name is Jennifer Dancu and I have been a teacher and principal for over 20 years. I’ve taught in public and private schools, as well as at the college level.  During these years I implemented curriculum and guided teachers and students in learning the many different facets of today’s technology. Through personal and professional experience, I have noted a strong need among seniors who want to learn how to use smart phones, tablets, and laptops. However, they can sometimes be overwhelmed by what are, to them, completely unfamiliar devices.  Seniors understand that their ability to connect with family and friends could vastly improve through the use of social media, but they just don’t know where to get the help they need.  That’s how the vision of Tech Ed 4 All came to be.  I soon began helping seniors, using my background experience and knowledge to tutor them and make them confident using today’s technology.  It has been extremely gratifying teaching seniors how to connect with family and friends through social media. Instructor: Barbara Edwards, Knoxville, TN

My name is Barbara Edwards and I’m an instructor for Tech Ed 4 All. I was born in Knoxville and have lived here all my life. My Master’s degree is in Adult Education, and I spent 20+ years working for a large health care organization where I was responsible for software training for employees as well as leadership training for both current and new managers. I’ve also taught software classes at the community college level and have enjoyed working with students of all ages and skill levels. I firmly believe in life-long learning and enjoy sharing my knowledge of software and technology with others. Learning new software or upgrading to new features or versions can feel overwhelming and stressful. My goal is to make the process fun, exciting and successful. Whether it’s using Facebook, downloading and reading books on your new Kindle or learning to create documents in Microsoft Word, we can work together to make you comfortable navigating the ever-changing world of technology. If I can do anything to help you, please contact me at bedwards@socialmedia4seniors.net or 865-660-0758

Instructor: Catherine Everhart, Knoxville, TN

My name is Catherine Everhart and as the newest addition to Tech Ed 4 All. I am excited to bring a very diverse background to Jennifer’s team. I have a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Tusculum College which I added to my education after practicing as a Registered Respiratory Therapist for several years. I worked in patient care for 20 years before I directed my career to corporate education in a large Healthcare system in Knoxville. After teaching a variety of topics to health professionals, I have spent the past 14 years as a professor of Respiratory Care at Walters State Community College, helping individuals establish their own careers in patient care.  I have taught many computer classes, as well as customer service, and electronic charting and it has been my experience that the best education comes from involvement. As Benjamin Franklin said, “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.“  I look forward to this opportunity to help you learn in a fun and relaxed environment. If I can help you, you can reach me at catherine@socialmedia4seniors.net
