iOS users now have access to Roku’s free streaming service

If you are an iOS user, you will now have access to Roku’s free streaming service through Roku’s free app. This app used to act as a remote for Roku TV’s, but it just received an upgrade.

This ad-supported streaming service offers you around 10,000 free movies and TV episodes. If you wish to watch news instead of movies, then you can choose between the multiple 24-hour news networks that Roku provides. These options are free thanks to the ad-supported software.

If you want to get rid of the ads, then you can pay for a premium subscription. This subscription also gives you access to HBO, Starz, Showtime, and EPIX.

This service may only be available to iOS users right now, but support for Android users is set to come in mid-February.
