The all new Messaging feature in Google Maps pay be the most innovative update yet. Since Google Maps is available on both iOS and Android smartphones, both sets of users will get to enjoy this new update. This messaging feature will allow users to message local businesses to inquire about different things without having to leave the app.
The idea came from a business-to-customer messaging service that Google had released earlier this year. If a business signed up for this feature, a Message button will appear on their Business Profiles on Google Search.
The creators of Google Maps were not done after releasing this feature because they also announced a new attribute for Google My Business. With this new feature, businesses have the ability to search their followers, reviews and messages. Businesses will also have the capability to create content for their profile.
These updates give Google Maps a more interactive experience for all types of users.
