How to take photos when you are recording video on your phone

Have you ever wished you could capture a single moment when you are recording something on your phone? You could achieve this through a complicated way of playing a video you have already recorded and pausing at just the right moment to screen shot what you wish to capture. However, what if you wanted to capture a spur of the moment shot when recording? Thankfully, there is an iOS feature that allows you to do just that.

Step #1: Open the “Camera” app on your iPhone or iPad.

Step #2: Tap the “record” button. Once you start recording, you will see the normal camera button appear next to the record/stop button.

Step #3: Tap the camera button anytime to take a photo. The video will continue to record, but you will have a still shot photo of that instance.

Once you have finished your recording, you will find any photos you took saved to your camera roll in your Photos app. You may experience some blurriness in the pictures you took during your video due to any movement of the objects.
