Have you ever wished you could create a cartoon sticker that looks just like you? Bitmoji is a a free app that you download that lets you do just that. Once you download this app, you can create a cartoon image inspired by you. You can then use this image as your profile picture on social media. The best part about this app is its ability to integrate with other media applications. You can sync Bitmoji with Snapchat, Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Gmail, Gboard, Slack, and iMessage. Syncing with other apps allows you to use your Bitmoji sticker on those other social media outlets.
To create your cartoon image, you first need to create a free Bitmoji account. When creating an account, you can either create an entirely new account or use your Snapchat information. Creating an account includes entering some personal information, choosing a password, and selecting your gender. Once you have your account created then you are ready to customize your avatar.
When you begin your design, you can either choose to upload a selfie or to manually design your avatar. There are three different broad themes you can choose from–Deluxe, Bitstrips, and Classic. You can customize your skin tone, facial structure, hair color, hair style, outfit, headwear, body type, and more. There are some outfits that will appear for a limited time like holidays or sporting events. Once you have perfected your avatar, you can start using the array of stickers Bitmoji has for every occasion.
To access your Bitmoji in the different apps, you can have to turn on the Bitmoji Keyboard. To turn on this feature you have to go into your Settings. For an Android, open the keyboard, tap on the Stickers icon, and choose the Bitmoji tab, and then select the avatar you want to use. For a phone that runs on iOS, go into Settings and then into General and tap on Keyboard. Once you tap on Keyboard, tap on Keyboards and hit Add New Keyboard. Tap on Bitmoji and slide the toggle next to Allow Full Access into the On position.
One of the apps that allows you to implement your Bitmoji avatar is Snapchat. Snapchat has plenty of emojis, filters, and stickers to implement into your photos. To give Bitmoji access to your Snapchat you first need to open your Snapchat app. Once the app is open then tap on the profile link in the upper right hand corner of the camera screen. Once you are there then tap on the Gear icon to enter Snapchat’s settings. After you are in the Settings menu then go to Bitmoji and tap on Link Bitmoji. To complete the connection then agree to the confirmation screen when prompted.
Now that you know the steps to creating your own Bitmoji, you can now incorporate your look-alike avatar into your text messages and other social media outlets.
