Alexa is the best thing you will ever purchase. You can set her up anywhere in your home and she immediately becomes your personal assistant. Since Alexa is an Amazon product, you can link your Amazon account to Alexa which would allow her to keep up with your shopping lists. She also has the ability to keep track of your dates and events. You can even ask her what the weather is like and she’ll tell you.
She is an amazing product that’s available in many different forms, but which form is the best? Each version has different functions creating a different experience with each form.
Echo:
Echo is the classic version of all the speakers standing at about six inches tall. It comes in six different finishes for you to choose from like four fabric and two wood. Echo currently retails for $99.99 on Amazon. With this classic version, you can make phone calls, control smart home devices, and stream music and audiobooks.
Echo Dot:
The Echo Dot is basically exactly what it sounds like, a smaller version of the Echo. For the price of $49.99, you can place the Dot anywhere in your house. This version comes with a port for aux cables which would allow you to play your own music through the speaker. It also comes with Bluetooth for the ability to connect to other speakers. The best part of this version, is it’s half the cost of Echo, but still provides the same features and the best speaker.
Echo Plus:
The Echo Plus provides all of the same features as the Echo and Echo Dot, but it’s bigger and better. Standing at 9.3 inches tall, the Echo Plus allows you to hear better across your home. It comes with all the same features, but with one added bonus. Echo Plus has a built-in hub for smart home devices. With a simple set up you can control lights, senors, locks, plugs, and switches all through Echo Plus. Selling for $149.99 seems expensive, but if you want a smart home, this is the way to do it.
Echo Show:
These products just keep getting better and better. With Echo Show, you can now stream video thanks to its 7 inch screen. With this screen you can now stream music lyrics, feed from your security cameras, photos, or weather forecasts. The one limitation is that it has no access to social media which means you cannot stream Netflix or Hulu. On top of the limited use of the screen, it’s $229.99. Since it doesn’t offer that much more than the audio-only versions, this might not be the best one for you.
Echo Spot:
Would you love to have a version of Echo with a screen, but want it cheaper? The Echo Spot is perfect for you! Even though it’s smaller, it still has all of the functionalities of the Echo Show. It even has the ability to look like a clock. It can also show you the weather for the day and your to-do list. It currently costs $129.99.
Echo Look:
The Echo Look provides you all of the Alexa speaker functions, but adds a hands-free, voice activated camera. This camera allows you to take pictures, record video, and send videos on command. The camera is designed to allow you to check your outfit for the day. You can easily take a full-body shot and store this photo in your “Look Book”. You can take this photo album with you anywhere which would let you scroll through your pictures while shopping to check your closet. Another added function is the Style Check. Style Check gives you advice on what outfit looks the best on you when you can’t decide what to wear. It may retail for $199.99, but it provides you with all the fashion advice you need.
It may seem overwhelming to choose which device works best for you, but now you have all of the information that you need to make the best decision. No matter which one you choose, you will be pleased with the result. With all of the amazing features that they offer, you now have no excuse to not go buy one.
