Share Your iTunes Library:

You and your friends just finished creating the perfect playlist for your upcoming road trip, but how can you all have access to it?Thankfully iTunes has the amazing feature of sharing your music library. You can easily share your iTunes library through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

How to Share Your iTunes Library Using WiFi:

Step #1: Make sure your iTunes sharing function is enabled. You can check this by going to “System Preferences”, then to “Security.” After you tap Security then you need to tap “Firewall” and go into your “Advanced” settings. You will then see an option to allow media sharing.

Step #2: Sign in with your Apple ID. Make sure that all devices you want to share with are also signed in using the SAME account.

Step #3: Open iTunes and then in the top left-hand corner of your screen, tap “File.” Then select “Home Sharing” and tap “Turn on Home Sharing.”

Step #4: On another device, sign into the SAME iTunes account. Tap the music icon in the upper right-hand corner and this will show you a dropdown list of things. At the bottom, you will the IDs for all the available iTunes libraries at that moment.

How to Share Your iTunes Library Using Bluetooth:

If you want to share your iTunes library, but you cannot connect to any Wifi, then your best option is Bluetooth. In order to share your library correctly, you will need to download a music sharing app from the App Store. The best app you can choose is MyStream because it is completely free to use. Another app you can download is PairShare, but this app costs $0.99.
