When you pay for a subscription to Amazon Prime, you instantly gain access to a wide variety of movies and TV shows. You can easily stream your favorites through your laptop or smartphone. Another amazing feature of Amazon Prime that you gain is the ability to download and watch movies when you have a poor internet connection. If you need to download that movie or TV show for your road trip then here’s how:
Step #1: Make sure you have an Amazon Prime account
To gain access to these movies and TV shows, you need an Amazon Prime account. This is a subscription you must pay for either monthly or for the full year. Once you have your account, you need to download the Prime Video app on your device and log in.
Step #2: Choose a video/TV show
This step is definitely the most fun because you get to choose what you wish to watch. Before choosing what you want to download, you need to realize that not all videos are available for the offline streaming option. Choose the movie or TV show you want to download and open the video details. Once you have made your decision, tap the “Download” button.
Step #3: Choose where to save the video
If you are downloading your video onto an Android device, then you will be asked if you wish to save the video to the SD card in your phone or not. This gives you the option to use the storage on the SD card or the storage on your phone.
Step #4: Choose the video quality
After you have saved the video, you will be asked to choose the video quality for your download. You will be presented with four options to choose from. Unfortunately, the higher the quality of the video, the more storage it will take up.
Step #5: Find your downloads
You have downloaded all the movies you want, but how do you find them? Luckily, there’s a “Downloads” pane you can find in the upper-left hand corner on Android devices and in the bottom of the menu for iOS devices. Once you have found your “Downloads” pane, you can browse, watch, or delete any content.
