Robocalls are very annoying and they only seem to be getting worse these days. Unfortunately, spammers can use cheap technology to gain your information. How do you stop these calls from reaching your phone? Thankfully there are several easy ways to prevent your iPhone from receiving them.
Register your phone number on the Do Not Call registry:
If you are constantly getting robocalls, the first thing you should do is register your phone number. This is the best protection you can have against any spammer. When you register your phone number, you are registering with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Any scammers are not allowed to call you if your number is registered.
Certain applications can prevent the calls:
Depending on your cell phone carrier, you may be eligible for a free app that screens the calls for you. Some of these free apps include T-Mobile Scam Block, Spring Premium Caller ID, Verizon Call Filter, and AT&T Call Protect. All of the four apps previously listed are available through your carrier. Fortunately there are also third-party apps you can download to block these calls as well.
Block numbers on your iPhone:
One of the amazing features of iPhones, is the built in capability to block any phone number. This may be time consuming since you will have to manually block each number, but it is still effective. You can easily block any number with just a few taps.
