President: Jennifer Dancu
My name is Jennifer Dancu and I have been a teacher and principal for over 20 years, instructing in public and private schools, as well as at the college level. During these years I implemented curriculum and guided teachers and students in learning the many different facets of today’s technology. Through personal and professional experience, I have noted a strong need among seniors who want to learn how to use smart phones, iPads, and laptops. However, they can sometimes be overwhelmed by what are, to them, completely unfamiliar devices. Seniors understand that their ability to connect with family and friends could vastly improve through the use of social media, but they just don’t know where to get the help they need. That’s how the vision of Social Media 4 Seniors came to be. I soon began helping seniors, using my background experience and knowledge to tutor them and make them confident using today’s social media technology. It has been extremely gratifying teaching seniors how to connect with family and friends through social media. Call me at 865-437-6556 or email me at email@example.com.
Instructor: Stacy Williams
My name is Stacy Williams and I’m an instructor for Social Media 4 Seniors. I’m a firm believer that learning spans a lifetime and there are numerous topics for us to explore no matter our age. Technology, and social media in particular, is constantly changing and growing and I feel that the learning that can take place within it is unlimited. My college degree is in nursing and educating patients and their family members about a particular disease process and treatment was the most enjoyable part of my job. For the past eight years, I have been home-educating my children and we learned a great deal working alongside each other. We navigated the internet together and learned how to create presentations, documents, and slide shows through the use of technology. I’ve realized how quickly new products and features are developed and it can be quite overwhelming. My goal as an instructor is to help others use technology and learn how it can benefit them in all kinds of ways. Whether it is accessing books to read, keeping in touch with children and grandchildren across the miles, banking online, or any other hobbies or interests, with time and practice, using technology and social media can be very rewarding. Please contact me if I can help you in any way. Call 423-794-6725 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Instructor: Kathleen Bloom
My name is Kathleen Bloom and I am instructor for Social Media 4 Seniors. I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Communications. While working in sales and marketing for medical supply companies for over 15 years, I educated customers and other sales representatives on equipment and computer software. New technology can be daunting and everyone exploring a new world needs a guide. There are many reasons that we use technology and social media, and it can be very rewarding to explore what is available and important to you. Whether you want to stay socially connected with family and friends through Facebook, have access to news and entertainment, read books or magazines, keep track of banking and personal health records or keep up with what’s going on in your community, technology puts it all at your fingertips. Smart phones, tablets or your desktop computer can provide the ability to engage socially and help manage your day-to-day life. I enjoy teaching people to embrace what is outside of their comfort zone and working on a personal level to help someone reach their desired goal. Whatever your reason or interest for learning new technology, it is important to feel comfortable. There has never been a better time in life like the present to connect with others and have access to information through technology. I would love to provide you with the knowledge and tools that you need and can be reached at (865) 640-4046 or at email@example.com.

My name is Allison Voss and I am an instructor for Social Media 4 Seniors. I have a Master’s in Accounting and I have worked as a College Accounting and Math Instructor. I also was the Assistant Director of a Math Tutoring Center where I taught children Mathematics. Teaching is a passion of mine. I love helping others learn in a supportive, non-threatening, and enjoyable manner. One of the best feelings is helping an individual learn something new, that they may have been intimidated by at first, and then watching their confidence grow. Technology is ever-changing and the changes can seem daunting at first, however with guidance and encouragement I truly feel that mastering technology is not beyond anyone’s grasp. Mastering the use of Social Media, in particular, opens up the doors of communication on a global scale where the options are limitless. Please call 602-515-2292 or email me at email@example.com. Instructor: Barbara Edwards
My name is Barbara Edwards and I’m an instructor for Social Media 4 Seniors. I was born in Knoxville and have lived here all my life. My Master’s degree is in Adult Education, and I spent 20+ years working for a large health care organization where I was responsible for software training for employees as well as leadership training for both current and new managers.
